SPDR’s DIA Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF went ex-dividend February 17th with a dividend of $0.3315—about 0.25% of its current price of $129. The dividend will be distributed March 12th. For DIA’s 2012 dividend calendar see this post.
DIA is currently yielding around 2.3% on an annualized basis. Unlike most funds that distribute monthly dividends, DIA does not go ex-dividend on the first business day of the month and it has a reasonably priced/liquid options market. This makes it an interesting candidate for dividend capture schemes.
